CEO Blog - 5.7.24

It has been another eventful week here at New Bridge MAT, filled with inspiring moments and plenty of hard work.

I am delighted to share some highlights with all of you...

Firstly, it was a joy to attend the photography exhibition at New Bridge College. The progress made in just 12 weeks is nothing short of phenomenal.

Stay tuned for an upcoming blog where we will dive deep into the works displayed at the exhibition.

It's also worth mentioning that prints of the showcased art will be available for sale, so be sure to support our talented students in their artistic journey.

Elsewhere, we had a highly productive meeting with the executive team and trustees. Together, we have spent time crafting the MAT Action Plan for the next two years.

This comprehensive plan will pave the way for our strategic goals and ensure the continued success and growth of our organisation.

Once the final touches are in place, we will be communicating this plan to all governing boards, ensuring transparency and alignment across the MAT.

One of the highlights of the week was undoubtedly the Learning Centre leavers' ceremony.

It was a great experience to see the enthusiasm and passion of our young individuals as they shared their love for practical areas such as outdoor learning, cooking and creative arts.

Their dedication and love for learning serve as a testament to the transformative impact of our educational pathways.

Every 3 years, schools can re-apply to be awarded an Apple Distinguished School. This year, Hollinwood have re-submitted an application. As part of the application, we had to submit a 3-minute film to showcase examples of the way we use Apple technology which is over and above other schools. We decided to focus on three areas:
  • The inclusive curriculum offer.
  • A transformative approach to assessment.
  • Supporting communication within school and the wider community.
