It has been a busy week here at New Bridge MAT.
We ended the week (well, almost, as it was Thursday...) with our recent Governor Conference, and I am delighted to share some insights and reflections with you.
It was a pleasure to host the autumn Governor Conference at New Bridge School, where we gathered to exchange ideas and insights aimed at enhancing our schools' governance.
A heartfelt thank you to our speakers: Shirley Woods Gallagher, who shared exciting new developments; Rob Merino, who outlined One Education's impressive offerings; Anna Wychrij, who introduced the Governor Hub; and Culain Wood, who spoke about the developing Governor Newsletter.
Our Chair of Trustees, Steve Williams, concluded the evening with a passionate speech that really resonated with all of our attendees.
The conversations during the conference provided invaluable insights and feedback from our governors, reaffirming that we are heading in the right direction.
Your commitment and input play a critical role in ensuring that we continue to support effective governance across our schools.
Elsewhere, I took part in discussions with fellow CEOs in Rochdale.
These conversations broadened our perspective on various educational challenges and innovations.
I’m particularly excited that Laura Millard will soon be connecting with the Pioneers Trust, collaborating with secondary heads in Rochdale to explore new avenues for our schools.
I had a productive meeting with Janice Allen, where we discussed some thrilling opportunities for involvement in research focused on critical areas such as the racial equalities framework, gender-based violence and human rights.
This work is essential as we strive to create an inclusive and equitable educational environment for all our students and the wider community.
I hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend ahead.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
Clare
