CEO Blog - 24.10.25
Happy Half Term!
I want to wish everyone across our organisation a wonderful break.
The first half term is always challenging, with shorter, colder and wetter days to contend with.
We all have each others' backs across New Bridge though, we look out for each other.
Staff, students, parents, families, governors and everyone else - we have worked together to reach this point in the academic year in excellent shape.
Thank you all for everything you do.
This week, I am pleased to share our half termly newsletter with you all, but I also want to make a special mention of the service users and staff teams at New Bridge Horizons.
The enthusiasm and dedication of everyone at Horizons (both at Turf Lane and The Link Centre) is nothing short of inspiring. To see the frequent trips out (in all weathers) to a range of different locations, is brilliant, and the lives of the service users are so enriched by the teams' collective efforts.
Thank you, all.
You can see for yourself here, in the latest update from The Link Centre:
As promised, I am also pleased to share the latest half termly newsletter from New Bridge MAT, which you can find here:
New Bridge MAT - October Half Term Newsletter 2025
Across the MAT this half term, reading has been a big focus and it has been a joy to see the updates from our sites who participated in both Roald Dahl Day and more recently, Harry Potter Day.
Fostering a love of reading is so important, and days like these really bring our community together to share in a love of stories and storytelling (and dressing up!)
You can catch up on both of those days here:
I hope everyone has a good half term, and to our year round teams, thank you for all your efforts during the half term breaks.
We look forward to Autumn 2 and all the excitement that comes with it.
Clare John
CEO, New Bridge MAT
