CEO Blog - 24.1.25
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on an incredibly positive week we've just had, which included the governor conference.
It provided fantastic opportunities for networking and engagement among our leaders, governors and trustees.
A warm welcome was given to Thomas Ashton, who joined us—it was a pleasure having them in the group.
I also had the chance to meet with representatives from the Department for Education (DfE) regarding the reinstated School Support Staff Negotiating Body (SSSNB).
I was proud to share the innovative work we're doing around a flexible working offer and discuss how workforce reform is impacting our devoted support staff team.
It was great to spend time with our executive and headteachers to discuss the ongoing solution-focused projects happening across our schools.
The dedication and creativity within our teams continue to inspire me.
I enjoyed lunch prepared by the fantastic students of Samuel Laycock alongside our colleagues from the DfE. The food was fantastic!
It was encouraging to hear that our collective efforts are recognised at a national level.
Together, we explored the ways our trust can further contribute to shaping a better future for children and young people with additional needs.
Finally this week, please take a moment to watch our latest Destinations Champions video.
I hope you all have restful weekends.
