Happy Friday, everyone

Just a couple of things to mention for me this week.

I would firstly like to draw your attention to the flyer for the New Bridge Inclusion Conference 2026.

New Bridge Inclusion Conference 2026

There will be some excellent guest speakers in attendance and we are reaching out to all interested colleagues from Greater Manchester and beyond to register to attend.

Secondly this week, I want to focus on New Bridge Horizons.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our colleagues at New Bridge Horizons for the remarkable way they have responded to this week’s unexpected challenges.

The willingness to pull together at such short notice has ensured that our young people continued to receive the care, stability and high-quality provision they deserve.

I am equally grateful to our colleagues at New Bridge School for so warmly opening their doors and supporting us during this temporary relocation, and to our central team whose calm coordination and problem-solving made all the difference and supported our colleagues at the two sites.

Moments like this truly highlight the strength of our values in action - care, trust and innovation, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.

Staying with Horizons, I also want to highlight Karen Salt.

Everyone at Horizons (and across the MAT) is proud of Karen, who this week found out that she had been awarded a triple distinction in her NVQ Business Administration! Staff at Horizons decorated her office to celebrate!

It's so important that we celebrate each others' achievements at New Bridge. It's part of the culture we create that enables everyone to succeed.

That's it for this week. I hope everyone stays warm this weekend!
