The last few weeks have been as busy as ever!

I have genuinely seen our vision and values in practice across the trust… 

There have been 2 stunning residentials to Chicago for Lumenus and Disney for our year 8 students at New Bridge School.

These experiences cannot be measured by figures or grades but are the ones that are talked about by the young people as their best and strongest memories.

I do not underestimate the commitment from staff to make this happen, from those who give up their time to support the young people on the trip...

...to those who stay back in schools to ensure nothing is compromised whilst staff are away...

...to those who undertake the organisation of the whole experiences – this kind of aspirational experience shows our trust values in practice:

Meanwhile, back at the ranch…

We have had a pre opening Ofsted visit for Heywood Academy where the vision for the new school was articulated and the progress of the building observed.

The inspector shared our excitement about the opportunities this will afford children and their families in Rochdale.

In addition, we had an Ofsted inspection in Future Finders.

I want to thank all staff for their tireless work to secure the very best outcomes for the young people who, as ever, were amazing.

I was proud when the inspectors went to visit the students in their placements in our schools where they have secured paid employment.

'Creating meaningful futures' all the way.

We will provide more feedback the outcome of the inspection as soon as we are able to. We look forward to sharing this with you all.

As we move through the last half term of the year, Local Governing Board meetings will be happening.

During these meetings, it is important that opportunities for self reflection and celebration are maximised.
